WELCOME, Net Surfer!!!

You have reached the personal home page of Jeff Wilson, also known across the net as PROFESSOR DUMPSTER. Thanks for cruising the Information Superhighway and stopping by my little corner of Cyberspace!!!

I am a sixth-generation Texan and I am SUPER PUMPED to have this new thing called an Information Superhighway browser TODAY!! Can you believe this?? I am looking at PICTURES and TEXT on the same screen!! The future is NOW, folks!!! I am currently tinkering around with what they are calling "artificial intelligence" on my workstation. And before you ask, NO, it is not that Terminator stuff. Relax. It is just really neat programs that can do smart things. I think it is going to be HUGE in like 33 years! NEW!

♻ THE DUMPSTER PROJECT ♻ NEW! FUN!

This is the totally rad experiment that started it all!!! Back a few years ago, I moved into a DUMPSTER right behind the dorms at the university where I was a professor and lived there for ONE ENTIRE YEAR. A regular dumpster. The kind you throw your trash in. Except I SLEEP in it. You could say my real estate portfolio is... garbage. HA!

Why?? Because I wanted to prove that you can live sustainably in the smallest possible space and still be HAPPY. And guess what? The Washington Post says I told them it was the happiest I have ever been!! No rent! No utility bills! My commute is literally walking out of a dumpster onto campus! Less stuff = more life, people!!!

The Dumpster Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit STEM education platform. We won an HBCU Ford Corporation Community Sustainability Grant. We are teaching kids and adults that sustainability is not about sacrifice. It is about INGENUITY.

💻 MY STARTUP COMPANIES 💻

I have founded THREE technology startups!!!

► NO CAP (Y Combinator W23) HOT!
The FIRST artificial intelligence early-stage investor!! An AI-powered investor and founder support platform. The AI was trained on data from 50 YC alums and can wire a startup $100K in three minutes!! Acquired in March 2025, exactly one year to the day after launch!

► The viral post that started it all

► JUPE (Y Combinator S21) NEW!
Off-grid volumetric shelters for 1.5 BILLION humans who lack adequate housing! Flat-packed, autonomous housing units. Just add land. Our seed round was led by Garry Tan of Initialized Capital, and we raised the only uncapped round in the entire YC batch!! Sold to our largest customer in 2024.
► Read: TechCrunch - "Jupe wants to solve for X" FUN!

► KASITA FUN!
The dumpster experiment was the direct inspiration for Kasita, my micro-housing startup! We built stackable smart micro-homes. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies and won a SXSW Interactive Innovation Award. Sold to a tiny home hotel company in 2019.

OG STUFF

Relics, ruins, and rabbit holes from before the web ate everything. Some still breathing. Some just ghosts with URLs.

Protocols That Refuse To Die

The First Website

Shout out to Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who in 1991 quietly uploaded a page at CERN and rewired civilization. In internet years that page is a century old. It is still there, untouched, like a cave painting with a URL.

Dream Job, 1993 Edition

If I could punch a timecard anywhere in 1993, it would be the MIT AI Lab. Minsky's house. The place where the word "hacker" meant something holy. It folded into CSAIL in 2003, but the original site is frozen in the Wayback Machine like a fly in amber.
